    Administration asks Supreme Court to take up the ban

    The Solicitor General files a petition for certiorari in United States v. Talbott (No. 26-272), calling the D.C. Circuit's ruling an 'unprecedented intervention into military affairs.' In May 2025 the Supreme Court had separately frozen a nationwide injunction issued in a Washington state challenge (Shilling).
