Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant — the country's only operational nuclear reactor, located in a city of 250,000 — has been hit at or near the site by projectiles at least four times since the war began on February 28, according to the IAEA. Satellite imagery indicates the April impacts hit an anti-aircraft artillery site outside the perimeter fence, about 1.5 km from the reactor. A member of the plant's physical protection staff was killed by a fragment on April 4. The IAEA confirmed no radiation release but expressed 'deep concern,' while WHO warned of 'catastrophic' consequences if containment is breached. No body has found that the plant itself was targeted.
