Convention on the Rights of the Child — Articles 3, 9, 37

Together these articles protect children from arbitrary family separation and detention: the best interests principle (Article 3), the right not to be separated from parents (Article 9), and the prohibition on torture and arbitrary detention of children (Article 37).
