Criminal case dismissed as vindictive prosecution

Judge Waverly Crenshaw dismissed the Tennessee smuggling charges, finding that absent Abrego Garcia's successful lawsuit challenging his removal, 'the government would not have brought this prosecution.' The Justice Department appealed the dismissal to the Sixth Circuit.
