ABC suspends Jimmy Kimmel Live!
After FCC Chair Carr says on a podcast that the situation can be handled 'the easy way or the hard way,' station owners Nexstar and Sinclair pull Jimmy Kimmel Live! from their ABC affiliates over a monologue about the Charlie Kirk assassination, and ABC suspends the show. ABC announces on September 22 that it will return on September 23.

McEntarfer speaks publicly
In her first public remarks since the firing, reported on September 17, at Bard College McEntarfer vouches for 'the accuracy and independence of the work of the agency up until the moment I was fired' and warns that 'firing your chief statisticians for releasing data you do not like has serious economic consequences' (The Guardian).
